The tale of Gef, a “Talking Mongoose,”reported as a poltergeist or ghost in the form of a mongoose who was said to inhabit the walls of the house on the farm known as Cashen’s Gap on the Isle of Man. In 1935 the authors went to the Isle of Man to investigate the haunting first hand.Gef was a good humoured naughty ghost.
