The first volume is text the second has all the plates,maps and plans.Original cloth , dust wrappers and enclosed in a slipcase.[the slipcase has a couple of bumps but the set is very fresh and clean ,there are a couple of speckled spots to the foredges.else very good .
This set is a facsimile and reprint of the original, the plates and text are a significant history of the Javanese people ,their agriculture, anthropology,geography ,archaeology ,natural history , religion,customs, costume ,language,history and literature .This is a classic in its own right and this edition is fascinating ‘ In the context of Indonesian studies it is impossible to exaggerate the importance of The History of Java .’
